SKCC's Weekend Sprintathon (WES)

The SKCC WES is a 24-hour sprint that occurs on the second Sunday of each month, starting at 0000 UTC. The 24-hour time span was created to allow operators to fit some operating time into their busy lives.
Some events focus on a theme or activity. Three popular themes that repeat each year are Homebrew Keys, QRP, and Boat Anchors. Some themes may have special rules and scoring.
SKCC members who participate in the WES must use straight keys, sideswipers (cooties), or bugs. Exceptions are granted to those with physical disabilities that prevent the use of such keys. The sprintathon has an entry category for shortwave listeners, who are cordially invited to join the fun. Non-members are invited to take part as well.
Many operators treat WES as a contest. But WES is rather informal. Its main goal is to bring together operators with different skill levels. Operating speed should be adjusted accordingly.
Although WES results are posted only for bragging rights, participants are eligible for certificates of participarion, including a certificate recognizing QRP participation.

I've made a contact with Jim operating as VQ9JC/MM on USNS SGT WILLIAM R. BUTTON ship. He called CQ for the SKCC WES, and i answer his call with my straight CW key. He mention his SKCC number, but i forgot mine. So i told him that i forgot, but then he told me that my SKCC number was 7952.

i've checked on the SKCC website and thank God that my number was correct. Thanks to old man Jim.
