How To Use Public Proxy For Echolink
Maybe some of us are regretting about their ISP ( Ex: Celcom broadband in Malaysia ) blocking ports for Echolink. This method also applicable to those who are using public internet which we dont have the privilege to make some port forwarding setting on the router. Echolink needs port forwarding configuration to allow it's ports. To bypass this environment, we need to configure our Echolink software to use public Echolink proxy.
First is a setup,
Second, choose available public proxies
Third, sometimes there is problem connecting to the selected proxy ( Ex: too much connections, servers offline, etc ). Reselect until you are getting Echolink stations list.
If you are planning to build your own personal Echolink proxy, please read http://www.echolink.org/proxy.htm
Do not hesitate to contact me if you got any problem or question. I'm ready to serve!
Have a nice day!
p/s: to those who are using TMNet Streamyx or P1 Wimax, you can refer to my previous post how to enable port forwarding to your home ADSL/Wimax routers. Link http://9w2pju.blogspot.com/2009/09/echolink-using-p1-wimax-for-malaysian.html
